Asian History : Visiting Assistant Professor

Starting date : One-year position to begin August 2015 (classes start 24 August).
The History Department at the University of Northern Colorado seeks an assistant professor of Asian history for the 2015/16 academic year due to a sudden (but wholly amicable) resignation. PhD in Asian History in hand by start of contract or early in the fall semester required. Area of expertise in Asian history, broadly defined. 3-3 load, MWF teaching schedule, limited service demands. Teaching excellence or potential for excellence required. Must be able to teach Asian History surveys (either to 1500 or from 1500, or both !) ; we will be as flexible as we can re courses taught and number of preps.
